Rumble Drop Road Match to Runners

by Rebecca Ingraham

Rio Rancho, NM - The Colorado Rumble FC dropped their match Saturday on the road against the New Mexico Runners 15-4. The Rumble scored first thanks to a first half goal by forward Luke Burgard. The Rumble wouldn't hold the lead for long, however, as the Runners managed to get three goals before half. The second half saw the Runners pick up their pace and the Rumble defense couldn't hold the Runners' offensive push. Despite the uneven scoreline, goalkeeper Brando Bustos made an impressive 17 saves on the night. The Runners remain undefeated at home and take the series against the Rumble 2-0. The Rumble are still looking for their first victory of the regular season.

The Rumble will return to Colorado for a road match against in-state rival Colorado Inferno on Sunday, January 12th. The Inferno are currently sitting in 4th place in the league with a record of 3-3 after dropping their last two matches. Sunday's match will be held at Soccerhaus in Colorado Springs, Co. Kickoff is set for 3pm MST. Tickets can be purchased here.

After a long road trip, the Rumble will return home to Foothill's Fieldhouse on Saturday, January 25th to face off against the Savage. Kickoff is scheduled for 7pm, and doors will be open at 6pm. Tickets can be purchased online or on-site for $12. Beer and concessions will be available.
